In Italy, a certified (sworn) translation must be performed by a translator registered with the Albo dei CTU (Consulenti Tecnici d'Ufficio) of a competent court. The translator swears an oath at the Tribunale, and the translation is bound together with the original document and signed by the Cancelliere.
